NeoSilica has the following Smart Grid products and solutions for Utilities:
  • NeoSilica MDMS (Meter Data Management System): Highly Scalable Enterprise-class Software System that receives and maintains ‘data of record’ across all field Smart Meters, of various makes and communication methods (PLC/Zigbee/RF/...). Active system that also alerts when field meters are tampered, along with Energy Audit and Analytics. Different profiles of meter data along with historical views are stored in large-scale databases, for further consumption by upstream Utility systems such as – Billing, CIS, OMS, PLM, SCADA, etc.
  • NeoSilica MDAS (Meter Data Acquisition System): Key Server-side Software System that maintains two-way communication with downstream Smart Meters (at customer locations) and their Data Concentrator Units (DCUs) and upstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS). NeoSilica MDAS provides tremendous flexibility for the Utility as it – works with multiple HeadEnd Systems (from different vendors) and scales to handle millions of Smart Meters.
  • NeoSilica PLM & DR (Peak Load Management & Demand Response): Core Utility Software System that enables the Utility to device different PLM/DR plans to effectively address (reduce) Peak Loads occurring in Summer or other times, and implement through downstream systems (MDMS-> MDAS-> field, or MDMS->directly through other paths to other field systems (Smart Thermostats/BMS)).
  • Utility Portals: provide unified interface to different Smart Grid systems so as to simplify working across MDAS, MDMS to PLM/DR, and other systems needed to effectively implement upcoming Smart Grid practices and solutions.
  • Customer Portals: For different range of customers, conveying their energy usage, dynamic Utility rates (TOU/TOD), service alerts, any DR plans, and provide a bridge between the Utility and Customer – for easy access from mobile and browser.

NeoSilica EMS - A Complete Energy Management Solution.

NeoSilica’s Energy Management Solution (NEMS) is a demand-side energy management solution that reduces energy bills for commercial and large residential buildings. The system consists of distributed hardware controllers that can be interfaced to various energy devices such as air conditioners, lights and fans. These controllers are in turn connected to a central server running NEMS software modules including an easy to use operator interface.

The NEMS software controls and moderates the use of all energy consuming devices in a given establishment by optimizing and automating their usage times based on ambient conditions as well as working/occupancy times of various zones within the premises. This intelligent and automated control of various energy devices (air conditioners in particular) enables savings of up to 15-30% in energy bills without sacrificing on the comfort levels
